제목 Regarding the opinion of the city's council 1/2 등록일 2015-12-23
내용 The city’s council asserts some of the city’s funds for supporting the arts should be reallocated to public television. The problem is the city’s council assumes television programs about the visual arts were the cause of the increase in visits of the city’s art museums. But maybe something else was the cause of the increase in visits. The art museums were probably renovated, started to exhibit interesting items, and provide various services like museum tours and explanation about each item with visitors. If these are the reasons of the increase in visits, then there might be no need to reallocate some of the city’s funds to public television.

Also, the city’s council makes an assumption people will stop watching television programs about the visual arts once the corporate funding supports public television is cut. This could be a poor analogy. Probably, the corporate funding has been mainly spent for producing dramas and talk-shows rather than visual arts programs.
